Overview
The Quality Control Specialist III's primary goal is to prevent defects from occurring. This involves identifying potential issues in processes or materials early on and taking proactive measures to mitigate them. By preventing defects, the project will realize minimal rework, scrap, and overall customer satisfaction, leading to cost savings and improved efficiency.
Responsibilities
Quality System Management: Overseeing and managing the organization's quality management system (QMS). Including the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality control procedures, standards, and documentations.
Site QC Audits: Conducting highly detailed and specialized inspections and tests on products, materials, or processes to ensure they meet appropriate quality standards and specifications.
Project Reporting: Initiating and managing cross functional quality improvement projects aiming at enhancing product quality, reducing defects, optimizing processes, and improving overall operational efficiencies. This includes collaborating with project superintendents, foreman and project managers to implement best practices and quality improvements.
Review Of Project Documents: This individual will review project documents for accuracy and completeness, checking for errors, inconsistencies, missing information. They are responsible for ensuring that quality control processes and products comply with industry standards, local codes, and customer specifications.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing quality data, trends, and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement, predict potential issues, and make data-driven decisions. Preparing comprehensive reports and presentations for management review and strategic planning.
Mentoring and Training: Provide training, coaching and mentorship to junior quality control professionals on quality control principles, techniques, and best practices. Promoting a culture of quality, excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience
- OSHA 30
- 20 hours Continuing Education
- Performs work under minimal supervision
- Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter
- May act as a lead or first-level supervisor
- Problem-solving skills
- Analytical thinking skills
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Leadership skills
Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
- Climbing stairs
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds
Travel Requirements
- 0-5% of the time will be spent traveling to the job site(s)/office locations.
Pay Range
USD $66,760.00 - USD $89,180.00 /Yr.
