Quality Manager – Nuclear Sector
Location: Charlotte, NC | U.S. Citizenship Required

A leading player in the nuclear infrastructure space is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of corporate-level quality programs and procedures. This is a high-responsibility role focused on maintaining regulatory compliance and ensuring quality assurance consistency across complex, federally regulated projects.

Reporting to the Director of Quality, the ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of nuclear QA standards (ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR, DOE Orders), proven leadership in quality program development, and a collaborative approach to cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain corporate-level Quality Program Plans and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations

  • Review project-level Quality Plans for alignment with corporate QA programs

  • Lead quality-related training, indoctrination, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Interface with customers, regulators, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders on QA matters

  • Support proposal development from a quality perspective

  • Identify and address quality issues through NCRs, corrective actions, and audits

  • Participate in industry committees and maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving QA standards

  • May contribute to procurement document reviews and Commercial Grade Dedication activities

What You Bring:

  • 4-year degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field with 7+ years in nuclear QA, or
    2-year degree with 10+ years, or 15+ years of directly related nuclear QA experience

  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining QA programs and procedures

  • Familiarity with quality control inspections across mechanical, civil/structural, materials, welding, and NDE disciplines

  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory codes including ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 App B, 10 CFR Part 21, 10 CFR 830, DOE Order 414.1D

  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

  • ASME NQA-1 Lead Auditor certification (current or prior) preferred
