Railroad Track Construction Foreman (Traveling) Road & Rail Services Track Foreman Central Track Services (Traveling Position) Starting at $30/hour + benefits, mileage, and per diem (based on experience) Job Summary: Road & Rail Services is looking for an experienced and motivated Track Foreman to join our Central Track Services team. This is a traveling position with responsibility for supervising railroad track construction and maintenance crews at various locations. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with strong communication skills and hands-on experience in track operations. Responsibilities: Supervise and direct daily work of track construction and maintenance crews Oversee track repair and construction projects; maintain accurate records and reports Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards Conduct job-specific and regulatory training for team members Perform administrative duties including inventory tracking and documentation Operate and instruct others on the use of loaders, hand tools, power tools, and specialty railroad equipment Requirements: Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in the railroad industry Proven knowledge of railroad track construction and maintenance Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills Experience with safety practices and risk management in the rail industry Ability to train and lead personnel effectively Work Conditions: Up to 50% travel required Outdoor work in all weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.) Flexible schedule including weekends and on-call as needed Physical activity including bending, twisting, walking on uneven surfaces Ability to work independently and wear all required PPE Perks & Compensation: Starting pay: $30/hour (based on experience) Full benefits package Mileage reimbursement and per diem for travel Opportunities for growth within a nationwide leader in logistics and rail support services About Road & Rail Services: Founded in 1987, Road & Rail Services has become the premier provider of logistics and transportation support.
