The company is seeking a Regional Chief Estimator to lead all estimating efforts across major public works and transportation infrastructure projects. This is a key leadership role with the ability to drive strategy, mentor teams, and influence the company's success in the region.
Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of the estimating process for heavy civil construction projects Analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine scope and requirements Develop accurate cost estimates using HCSS HeavyBid and other tools Solicit and review subcontractor bids across multiple trades Evaluate alternative construction methods and value engineering options Present estimates, schedules, and value engineering recommendations to leadership Collaborate with operations and executive teams to ensure seamless project handoff Oversee and coordinate the work of estimating team members and support staff Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil estimating, with a strong track record in public works or infrastructure Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and market pricing Proficiency in estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid (required); Primavera P6 is a plus Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills Local Southern California industry knowledge preferred Why Join This Team?
