Link's 10-week paid summer internship program helps students gain valuable experience and develop business skills while learning the basics of logistics real estate. We offer internships in over 15 departments including Capital Markets, Construction, Corporate Communications, Development, Financial Planning & Analysis, Investments, IT, Asset Management, Property Management and more.

Link is looking for actively enrolled juniors (rising seniors) who would be interested in working with our Construction Operations, Regional Construction/On-site Project Management, CAPEX FP&A, and all other Construction based team with executing capital expenditure, vacant space preparation & tenant improvement projects in his or her geographic area.

What You Will Learn:

  • You will help in assisting with lease-based projects and vacant space preparation.
  • You will understand construction-related aspects of a large portfolio of industrial properties.
  • You will be exposed to all manners of commercial real estate and will gain an overall understanding of total cost and schedule related to each construction project.
  • You will be integrated with Construction Management software while interpreting, organizing, and tracking all construction data and documentation related to a job and maintaining constant communication between Project Managers, VP/SVP's of Construction and various other LINK stakeholders.

Travel (car) an average of 1-2 days per week as necessary to oversee all construction related activities and any other related construction projects/issues. You will collaborate with departments such as Leasing and Property Management to understand each team's perspective during the leasing process and how their collective vision contributes to securing a successful lease.

Qualifications:

  • Current junior (rising senior) undergraduate student at an accredited four-year institution
  • Pursuing a degree in construction management, construction/building science, engineering or architecture and design or related field
  • Strong interest in commercial real estate asset management and investment (no formal experience required)
  • Basic understanding of real estate investment and financing processes including, but not limited to, market analysis, financial analysis, property valuation and capital markets
  • Basic knowledge of new construction, renovation/rehab, development, and industrial construction is preferred
  • Exceptional knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all project stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be actively enrolled for consideration of internship

$30/hour represents the presently anticipated base compensation pay range for this position at Link. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
