Hazen is seeking a Construction Inspector for water and sewer utilities projects located in Palm Beach County and Broward County. The employee in this position will work with owners, contractors, third-party firms, and Hazen engineers to support the construction and commissioning of Hazen projects. Key Responsibilities: Conduct on-site observation, monitoring, inspection, and evaluation of construction activities Review and interpret project demolition and work plans, specifications and drawings to verify contractor compliance therewith Review and monitor project schedule, sequence of activities, and time extension claims Assist the multi-discipline engineering team in the resolution of request for information and claims Review contractor performance and compliance with safety requirements Coordinate and communicate effectively with multi-discipline teams, consultants, owners, contractors, and third-party inspection/testing firms Prepare daily reports, verify material quantities, and review contractor pay applications May supervise and train Field Coordinators Assist and coordinate with project start-up activities Maintain construction related documentation Travel to various project sites within Palm Beach County and Broward County Assist with construction administration tasks, including shop drawing processing and maintenance of documentation, change orders.
