Estimator - Custom & Semi-Custom Homes Experience Level: 5-7+ years About the Opportunity Join a thriving residential home building company as an experienced Estimator . This position is perfect for current Project Managers or Assistant PMs eager to transition into estimating roles, as well as seasoned estimators with a robust background in residential construction. You'll work primarily in the office with occasional site visits to enhance collaboration and understanding of ongoing projects. Key Responsibilities Develop comprehensive estimates for custom and semi-custom residential homes . Oversee the estimating process, including takeoffs, pricing, and final budget approvals. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure competitive pricing. Coordinate selections and pricing adjustments with ownership and the Interior Designer . Maintain and enhance databases of cost data, budgets, and historical pricing. Analyze construction plans, identify gaps, and redline plans as necessary. Utilize BuilderTrend for managing estimates, bids, and selections efficiently. Collaborate closely with operations and project management for seamless project handoffs. Qualifications 5-7+ years of experience in residential construction (Estimator, PM, or Assistant PM). In-depth knowledge of residential construction methods and processes. Ability to read, interpret, and redline construction drawings effectively. Proficiency in BuilderTrend, Bluebeam, Outlook, and Excel . Experience working alongside interior designers and managing selections/finishes. Strong organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
