Job Description

Project Management (On-Site):

  • Oversee all aspects of residential construction, including ground-up and renovation projects.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of subcontractors, vendors, and site workers.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.
  • Manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all milestones.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure the highest level of workmanship.
  • Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.

Administrative (In-Office):

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and materials.
  • Track project progress and report on budget, timelines, and potential risks.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, architects, and other stakeholders.
  • Review and approve subcontractor bids, invoices, and change orders.
  • Manage documentation, including contracts, permits, and construction drawings.

Client Interaction:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through regular updates and promptly address any concerns.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.

The Successful Applicant

Experience:

  • At least 5+ years of experience in residential custom home construction, with a strong background in both ground-up builds and renovation projects.
  • Proven experience managing projects valued at $3M or more.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, including budgeting, scheduling, and contract management.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team of subcontractors and workers.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.

Education & Certifications:

  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • OSHA certification (or equivalent safety training) is a plus.
  • LEED or other sustainable building certifications are a bonus.
