Responsibilities
•Obtain all necessary permits and licenses from the appropriate authorities and ensure construction is up to code •Comply with all best-practice health and safety standards to prevent injuries and slowdowns at construction sites, and promptly report any safety regulation issues •Conduct business with external vendors, contractors, and critical subcontractors to negotiate profitable contracts •Manage general contractors and construction workers and give guidance as needed to ensure high-quality project performance •Determine the project deliverables and specifications, including the project scope, necessary project resources, and estimated labor needed by collaborating with clients, engineers, and architects
Qualifications
•Possess a deep understanding of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, project management principles, and construction methods •Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related fields •Excellent time-management, organizational, leadership, and communication skills •Minimum 1 year of work experience in construction management •Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a bonus
