Job Summary:
Public Works Foreman plans, organizes, assigns, and oversees City-issued work and the maintenance crews who execute this work. The Foreman is responsible for managing the Citys work order system and disseminating work orders to his teams. He will oversee the sites fleet, the various machines, and the fleet and equipment maintenance program. He will ensure safe work practices and a clean and organized operating headquarters. Additionally, the Foreman must possess good customer service skills, be able to coordinate with City officials and inspectors, possess/obtain knowledge of the municipality, have experience with concrete, asphalt, and stormwater repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring teams conduct routine equipment and fleet maintenance
- Overseeing work order assignments and completion
- Conducting routine repairs on equipment as needed
- Effectively communicate with crew throughout and at end of the day
- Planning and preparing for following workday
- Maintaining organized, safe, and clean shop
- Conducting daily morning safety meetings with team
- Supervising team operations
- Providing Manager with bi-weekly updates
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years experience in same or similar role
- Strong Work ethic, self motivated and able to lead a team
- Safety first mindset, and commitment uphold company Core Values
- Must have a Clean Drivers License and be able to pass company MVR
- OSHA or similar industry certifications (Preferred not required)
