Pay Rate: The pay rate for this job is $70,000 - $90,000 / year

What You'll Be Doing As A Roofing Construction Project Manager

  • Scope Development: Review project specs, work orders, blueprints, or insurance scopes (e.g., Xactimate estimates), Define job scope including material types (e.g., shingles, TPO, tile, metal), labor needs, and subcontractors
  • Job Costing & Budgeting: Generate material and labor estimates, Track allowances, change orders, and profit margins, Forecast cost-to-complete and analyze variances
  • Permitting & Code Compliance: Apply for and manage permits with local municipalities, Ensure code compliance for roof tear-offs, underlayment, ventilation, and load ratings
  • Execution & Field Management
    • Crew Coordination & Scheduling: Assign and schedule roofing crews or subcontractors, Coordinate delivery of materials, dumpsters, and equipment, Ensure proper staging and access to site
    • Site Oversight: Visit job sites regularly to monitor, Safety compliance (OSHA standards, fall protection), Installation quality, Timeline adherence, Resolve issues such as material delays, customer concerns, or inspection failures
    • Subcontractor Management: Vet, onboard, and coordinate with roofing crews, Review subcontractor invoices and performance, Ensure workmanship meets contract and manufacturer standards
  • Administrative & Customer Management
    • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for the property owner, adjuster, or GC, Conduct pre-job walkthroughs and post-job inspections with the client, Handle complaints, change requests, and warranty concerns professionally
    • Documentation: Maintain job file with: Permits, contracts, and lien waivers, Before/during/after photos, Material invoices and proof of delivery, Final inspection sign-offs, Use job management software Dash
    • Inspections & Closeout: Coordinate final inspections with city/county, Ensure punch list items are completed, Submit warranty paperwork (manufacturer and labor) to the client
  • Reporting & Accountability
    • Project Tracking & Metrics: Update daily/weekly progress logs
    • Track: Schedule adherence, Gross profit margins, Customer satisfaction scores, Safety incidents
    • Internal Reporting: Report KPIs to ownership or regional managers, Participate in team meetings to review job pipeline, delays, and crew availability

Available shifts: Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day) & Weekends

Job requirements:

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail and active listening
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience with PDF editing software such as Bluebeam or Adobe
  • Ability to interpret and read drawings and specifications
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Highly motivated with strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work independently
