Location: Louisville, NE
Pay: $35–$41/hour (Based on Experience) + $100 Per Diem
Schedule: Full-Time | Project Duration: 3–4 Months with Potential for Full-Time Placement

Great Basin Staffing LLC is seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Coordinator for an industrial construction project at a surface mine site in Louisville, NE. This position plays a key role in implementing and maintaining a zero-accident safety culture and offers the opportunity for long-term employment with a top-tier general contractor.
Primary Responsibilities:
Enforce the project’s safety strategy, policies, and OSHA compliance on a daily basis
Monitor construction activities and proactively identify/correct safety deficiencies
Deliver onsite safety training courses including fall protection, confined space, excavation, scaffolding, electrical safety, and OSHA 10/30-hour
Promote a safety-first culture through leadership, visibility, and employee engagement
Maintain all required safety documentation and assist with incident investigations
Minimum Requirements:
MSHA Certified Trainer required (Blue Card strongly preferred)
2–5 years of industrial surface mine construction safety experience
OSHA 500 certification in the construction industry
Formal training in areas such as: excavation, confined space, rigging, fall protection, hazardous waste, scaffolding, crane operations, steel erection, and erosion control (NPDES)
Strong ability to identify safety issues and implement corrective measures in the field
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with field personnel and management
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working for a general contractor
Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field
Professional safety certifications such as CSP or CHSP
Drug and alcohol screening is a condition of employment.
