BCG Attorney Search Experience 10-30 yrs required Posted on Jul 09, 2025 Valid Through Aug 08, 2025 Profile Job Overview A law firm seeks a highly experienced attorney specializing in construction development agreements and transactional matters in Rochester, New York. The ideal candidate will lead complex deal work, provide strategic counsel on risk allocation and compliance, and manage transactions from negotiation through closing. Duties Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, development agreements, leases, and ancillary transaction documents. Provide strategic advice on project structuring, risk allocation, and regulatory compliance. Conduct due diligence on title reports, environmental assessments, zoning approvals, and lien searches. Coordinate with lenders, title insurers, architects, engineers, contractors, and governmental agencies. Oversee closing processes, ensuring timely execution of deliverables and escrow requirements. Address and resolve disputes arising during contract performance; advise on mitigation and remediation strategies. Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and collaborate with interdisciplinary practice teams. Requirements 21 years of transactional experience in construction and development law. Active admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing. Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex transactions from inception to closing. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple, concurrent matters under tight deadlines. Strong commercial judgment and client-service orientation. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications Admission to practice in the State of New York. Any specialized certifications in construction law or real estate transactions (preferred). Skills Exceptional drafting and negotiation capabilities, particularly with AIA and industry-standard forms. In-depth understanding of statutory requirements and risk-management strategies in construction projects. Proficiency with Westlaw, LexisNexis, and transaction-management platforms.
