Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of successfully managing various commercial construction projects. The Senior Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Project Planning and Management
- Develop detailed project plans that include scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk management.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope and budget.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure adherence to schedule through the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership:
- Led and mentored project teams, including project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Quality Control and Assurance:
- Ensure all construction activities adhere to quality standards and project specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
- Implement corrective actions as needed.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor risk throughout the project lifecycle and adjust plans as needed.
Budget and Cost Management
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and implementing cost control measures.
- Approve and process change orders and ensure financial reporting accuracy.
- Submit monthly pay applications.
- Review and approve subcontractor monthly pay applications.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Regularly update clients, senior management, and other stakeholders
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
- Conduct project meetings and prepare progress reports.
- Contract Management:
- Oversee the negotiation, preparation, and administration of contracts.
- Ensure all contractual obligations are met and manage any disputes that arise.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations and standards.
- Promote a culture of safety on all project sites.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and building codes.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Prepare and submit necessary regulatory and compliance documentation.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Stay updated with the industry trends and advancements in construction technology.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a technical field. Master’s degree or additional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction project management
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects across various sectors (restaurant,
- industrial, residential, government, healthcare).
- Highly proficient in MS Project and/or Primavera P6
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Familiarity with BIM and other construction technologies
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and building codes.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Proficient with Procore and Certified as Admin and Project Manager.
- Use of CRM software.
- Must be a critical thinker at all times.

- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Quick Bod, Heavy Bid, Stack, etc.). Please note that using Excel is not considered relevant experience for this position.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Able and willing to work overtime and under pressure as needed to meet tight bidding deadlines.
- OSHA 30 certified within the last five years or the ability to become certified/recertified before being hired.
Strong Candidate Preference:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
- Mechanical project management experience
- Private sector project management experience
- Experience with vertical commercial construction (office buildings, retail spaces, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions)
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
