Senior Construction Casualty Risk Engineering Consultant

Zurich is currently looking for a Senior Risk Engineering Consultant for the Construction Casualty Lines of Business in our West region. This is a work from home role in the Denver, Salt Lake City, or Seattle areas. The position includes a company car, with expected travel of 30-40% of your time depending on business needs.
In this role you will be responsible for :
Managing multiple large construction accounts within the region.
Adapting Zurich's innovative solutions to the construction industry to minimize customer losses and improve sustainability and business resiliency at the corporate level.
Using Zurich’s risk engineering tools and services to enhance customer risk profiles and manage accounts for Zurich Construction Insurance products such as workers compensation, general liability, and auto liability.
Providing high-quality construction consultative services, identifying exposures and risk control gaps, and recommending risk mitigation strategies.
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and business partners, collaborating to develop service plans.
Marketing and selling a range of fee-based services to support risk mitigation efforts.
Creating and delivering advanced presentations and risk management training for customers and internal teams.
Offering risk improvement advice, conducting loss investigations, and implementing risk improvement programs.
Assisting customers with developing safety, QA/QC, and safety plans, investigating construction defects, and reviewing building envelopes and moisture mitigation.
Participating in sales meetings and presentations, contributing to fee income through opportunity spotting and cross-selling.
Final candidates will undergo a motor vehicle record background check due to the company car requirement.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of experience in construction risk engineering, safety/risk management, or construction field operations.
High school diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an associate's degree and 6+ years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications :
Degree in engineering, health and safety, risk management, or construction management or related field.
Construction safety, project management, or superintendent experience at a mid to senior level.
Advanced knowledge of construction safety, operations, quality management, and associated risks.
Professional certifications such as CSP, ARM, CHST.
High computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office and IOS platforms.
Strong technical writing skills.
Experience working independently and in teams.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consulting skills.
Leadership experience and involvement in community or professional activities.
