Zurich is currently hiring an experienced Senior Construction Casualty Underwriter to join the Construction team in Indiana! While this position is remote, you must reside in Indiana to apply.

As a Construction Casualty Underwriter, you will handle complex new and renewal accounts across Auto, GL, and Worker's Compensation. The Construction Casualty Underwriter is responsible for:
Serving as a customer industry advocate with a focus on improving the customer experience by understanding their risk and offering the best end to end solution for their insurance needs.
Using a disciplined approach to exposure evaluation, risk assessment and pricing.
Using risk insights, data and models to drive informed decisions at point of sale.
Administering and monitoring underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations and rating manual rules.
Working within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments.
Senior Construction Casualty Underwriter (Level III) Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Brokerage or Market Facing area OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area OR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area OR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree?
Technical knowledge of Construction Casualty Underwriting.
Established broker relationships (retail brokers) in Michigan.
Sales execution mindset.
Creative problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. In compliance with local laws, Zurich commits to providing a fair and reasonable compensation range for each role. The proposed salary range for this position is $93,400.00 - $153,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
