Salary:

Moody Engineering is seeking an experienced Construction Engineer to complement our fast-growing team in Columbus, Ohio. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project management planning, monitoring, and implementation
  • Support business development and client interface
  • Constructability review of engineering plans for retail, commercial, higher education, residential, and municipal developments
  • Perform site visits and prepare reports during construction for site development, infrastructure, and roadway projects
  • Provide advice and creativity to resolve any potential problems/deficiencies quickly
  • Provide QA/QC to plans before Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, and Final Design
  • Provide advice and creativity to resolve any potential problems/deficiencies quickly
  • Take a project from pre-bid through construction close-out
  • Coordinate execution of projects with our staff, our clients, and our project team members
  • Train and educate Junior Construction Engineers

Ideal Candidate Skills Include:

  • 15+ years of experience
  • 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Infrastructure Suite, or Microstation
  • ODOT Certified Project Inspector 1 / 2
  • ODOT Construction Engineer Level 1 / Construction Manager
  • ODOT Construction Engineer Level 2
  • PE is desired but not required
  • Experience with site development documents and permitting preferred with the City of Columbus, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Franklin County, or ODOT
  • Strong Construction Administration background
  • Experience with tunnels
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team with minimal oversight

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree from an ABET-accredited College or University required in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
