A leading New York real estate firm is seeking a litigation associate or counsel with 57 years of experience in complex construction litigation. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in:
Advising on contract interpretation and scope of responsibilities NY mechanics lien and trust fund statutes, including lien filing and discharge Representing clients in New York state and federal courts, AAA arbitration, and mediations
Litigation experience should include: Trial/arbitration preparation and participation Drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and memoranda Managing discovery, including e-discovery platforms Taking and defending depositions Preparing witnesses, exhibit lists, and issue books Attending court conferences and hearings Negotiating settlements
Experience drafting and negotiating construction-related agreements is also required, including: General and construction management contracts Subcontractor, professional services, and consulting agreements Familiarity with AIA and DBIA contract forms
Salary Range: $250,000$280,000 commensurate with experience.
