Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for providing the following services or for supervising the Construction Management team members who perform these services: Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in technical disciplines such as Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent technical area of study. 15+ years of experience in management of construction, engineering, or equivalent technical projects. Experience with youth correctional facilities is a plus. Provides the overall planning, coordination and direction for construction management activities on projects to ensure they are on time, on budget, and on schedule, and also monitors cost and project performance to ensure compliance with contract requirements. Maintains management and project facilitation for the successful completion per compliance, contractual, owner and Vanir requirements. Supervise field administrative staff, Field/Project Engineers, Craft/Trades, and Assistant Construction Managers. Oversees all activities of construction management of construction projects from procurement phase, preconstruction, construction to final occupancy and close-out. Assumes the lead in project meetings, and supervises work of others to include documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses, and follow-up on actions items of all participants. California PE license is a plus. Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of the Design-Build process related to the construction delivery phase. Knowledge of Change Management with an ability to assess risk factors and generate at least a Level-3 cost estimate. Ability to work with an engaged owner and versatile leadership skills to coordinate diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of detention and security system applications is highly desirable. Knowledge of the California Contract Code and County applications is a plus. Knowledge of and ability to manage and use Special Inspectors as required by the California Building Code. Knowledge of the Design-Build process for “all” phases of a project. The D/B process for integrated adds or changes will continue until the end of the project. DBIA Certification preferred. Knowledge of BSCC and Title 15 Standards is a plus. Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $160,000.00-$165,000.00.
