Job Description Summary

Responsible for technical and economic construction management activities to ensure design and construction requirements.

RESPONSIBILITY : Report directly to the Head of Project Engineering, North America. Manage and deliver required service levels across a portfolio of facilities and capital projects. Establish a construction-driven approach within Evonik's capital programs by actively contributing to project constructability during early front-end phases. Develop realistic construction plans that support and validate overall project schedules. Build and lead a high-performing team of construction managers deployable across regional projects. Establish and maintain work policies, procedures, and standards for the North American Construction Management group. Collaborate with Project Management to support the development of comprehensive project execution plans and schedules. REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field; General Contractor's License preferred Proven leadership in managing large-scale industrial construction projects within chemical manufacturing or similar heavy industries Experience developing and implementing construction policies, procedures, and safety protocols aligned with regulatory and operational standards (e.g., OSHA, PSM) Strong expertise in planning and executing complex construction activities, including equipment installation, piping, and structural work in active plant environments Excellent communication and technical reporting skills, with the ability to coordinate across engineering, operations, and contractor teams
