Job Description Senior Construction Project Manager - Deliver a Landmark Educational Project Project Delivery Group Are you a highly organized and proactive construction professional with a passion for delivering exceptional projects? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Project Delivery Group as a Construction Project Manager for a significant and high-profile educational project in Redondo Beach, California . This is a 100% on-site position. The Project: You will be leading the construction of a stunning, $55 million state-of-the-art school designed by the renowned architectural firm, Gensler . This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a project shaping the future of education in the community. The Role: As our Construction Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of this complex commercial construction project, ensuring timely, within-budget completion, and adherence to high-quality standards. Your communication skills will be vital in coordinating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders, maintaining a strong on-site presence, and overseeing the on-site project team . Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of the construction project from pre-construction to close-out, requiring a consistent on-site presence. Supervise and manage the on-site staff, including the Project Superintendent and Project Engineer. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets. Coordinate activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants on-site. Ensure safety and quality compliance through active monitoring and team management. Identify and resolve project issues proactively, working closely with the on-site team. Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, including the client and architect (Gensler). Track project progress and provide regular reports. Manage project documentation such as contracts, change orders, and RFIs. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment on-site. Qualifications: 5+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager in complex commercial construction, preferably with educational or institutional projects. Successful track record managing projects of similar scale and complexity. Ability to lead and manage on-site construction teams effectively. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with diverse stakeholders. Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Compensation and Benefits: We offer a salary range of $125,000 to $150,000 annually , commensurate with experience, along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, paid time off, retirement plan, and a performance-based bonus upon project completion.
