The Agency is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-impact industrial and heavy commercial projects for a leading general contractor. This is a dynamic, travel-centric role requiring presence across project sites in Southeast Michigan and Central/Northeast Indiana.

In this role, you will manage projects ranging from $30M to $100M+, with delivery methods including self-perform, general contracting, and construction management. Travel is a core component, assignments vary from office-based to full-time onsite, requiring flexibility and a willingness to be where the work happens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, design teams, subcontractors, and field supervision; manage project planning, scheduling (MS Project/Primavera), and logistics.
  • Financial Oversight: Own the P&L, cost control, change order negotiation, and financial reporting.
  • Travel & Site Management: Travel to various jobsites across the region to oversee self-perform teams, ensure safety compliance, and maintain quality control.
  • Preconstruction & Buyout: Partner with estimating teams on project buyout, budgets, and scope development.
  • Document Control: Manage the full lifecycle of project documentation using platforms like ProCore, Sage 300, or Prolog, including submittals, RFIs, and closeout.
  • Team Coordination: Align field supervision, subcontractors, and internal resources to ensure seamless execution.

What You Bring

  • Experience: 10–20 years of experience in General Contracting or Construction Management, with a focus on industrial or heavy commercial sectors.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Sage 300, ProCore, Prolog, or Contract Manager preferred.
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, and engineering principles.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills with a collaborative, team-first attitude.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Travel is required, frequent regional travel to project sites.
  • Fast-paced environment with outdoor work and exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to navigate active construction sites and adhere to strict safety protocols.
