Senior Director, Mechanical and Production Equipment Construction

The Senior Director of Mechanical & Production Equipment Construction is responsible for supporting industrial, mechanical, piping, and specialty HVAC installments in construction activities. The role leads clean room and dry room construction sales and maintains good business relationships with customers to build a healthy project backlog. This Senior Director oversees both business and technical review, coordination, supervision and of all aspects of construction project management. This includes managing resources, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for mechanical, piping and specialty HVAC construction Projects expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products Maintains sales volume, key accounts, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors Stays current with industry trends, market dynamics and competitive landscape Identifies emerging opportunities, threats and potential partnerships that can enhance our position Builds and maintains long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition and supply and demand Monitors and manages the performance, schedules, effectiveness, and efficiencies of all work performed by subcontractors Monitors customer, market, and competitor activities, and provides feedback to the leadership team and other company functions Works with internal teams on behalf of clients to ensure the highest level of customer service Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented Plans and schedules mechanical, piping and specialty HVAC installations with internal partners and external contractors Responsible for mechanical, piping and specialty HVAC scope, budgets, and bid documents related to EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) related projects Monitors and controls expenses to ensure projects stay within budget constraints Develops a plan for completion of all work orders, including listing of the parts or materials needed Maintains accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and correspondence Supervises several projects in different stages of construction Collaborates and communicates effectively with cross-functional operations and corporate support teams on issues critical to project success Performs on-site inspections for conformance to contract documents Verifies that all inspections are complete and passed by the controlling entity Identifies, addresses, and resolves issues/problems as or before they occur in the path of positive change Maintains safe and healthy work environments by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field Experience Requirements Fifteen (15) years of experience in mega construction projects with 5+ years of experience in project management leadership Experience in directly managing multiple large-scale construction projects exceeding USD $3 billion Experience in production equipment installation and mechanical hookups Licenses and/or Certifications Required n/a Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Knowledge and understanding of the applicable industrial mechanical standards (ASME, ANSI, ASTM, NFPA, ASHRAE,) Ability to work under high pressure environments and meet project deadlines, be self-directed, exhibit good business judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately Familiarity with relevant construction laws and regulations Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Computer Equipment and Software Requirements Project Management Software Preferences Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
