The Role The Senior Network Construction Engineer will report directly to the Manager of Engineering and will play a crucial role in managing the delivery of new telecommunications networks across multiple locations through effective vendor management and engagement. This position involves overseeing estimating, design, engineering, scheduling, and construction implementation of various network infrastructure deployment projects. Key Responsibilities Develops and reviews comprehensive plans for complex, high-impact projects, including phased delivery strategies, resource allocation, cost assessments, scheduling, risk management, and reporting structures. Leads cross-functional teams in successful project execution, facilitating collaboration among company employees and external contractors or engineering firms, while establishing clear accountability for all parties involved. Drives vendors to meet aggressive timelines and manages prioritization of a substantial workload, demonstrating flexibility to align with internal schedules. Oversees the deployment of solutions, encompassing network architecture, construction methods, material selection, installation activities, and project acceptance processes. Ensures projects are delivered on time and within budget, establishing metrics to monitor performance and providing regular updates to stakeholders. Demonstrates the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams comprising engineers, construction managers, contractors, and consulting professionals toward successful project completion. Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction engineering or telecom. Strong knowledge of OSP Engineering standards and practices, alongside expertise in Outside Plant construction techniques. Experience in civil engineering and construction related to site development. Hands-on experience with the full lifecycle of OSP and/or Civil Projects (including estimating, engineering, permitting, and construction). Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and various mapping software programs. Exhibits a professional and positive attitude. Proven experience in managing strategic customer relationships. Demonstrates the ability to build strong peer relationships and coordinate closely with operational managers for project success. Strong business acumen and exceptional organizational, prioritization, and communication skills. Creative problem solver with a strong focus on results. Extensive knowledge of OSP operations, administration, and maintenance. Understanding of Fiber Network Management principles such as route planning and testing requirements. Compensation The salary range for this position is anticipated to be between $82,969 and $121,688, depending on experience and location, inclusive of various benefits aimed at enhancing overall well-being.
