Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Program Scheduler to lead scheduling efforts across a portfolio of high-value civil infrastructure construction projects. This is a New York Metro-based hybrid role. This role is critical in driving the successful delivery of complex programs by developing and managing integrated master schedules, identifying risks and delays early, and ensuring alignment between project teams, contractors, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Primavera P6, a strong understanding of construction sequencing, and the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights for executive-level reporting. This is a high-impact role supporting infrastructure that shapes communities and supports long-term public and private sector growth.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and management of integrated master schedules across a portfolio of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with program goals and timelines.
Create, update, and analyze detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, applying Critical Path Method (CPM) principles. Develop both high-level and detailed look-ahead schedules (1, 3, and 6 months) to support planning and execution.
Translate schedule data into clear, actionable insights using Tableau and other reporting tools. Prepare monthly progress reports and executive-level dashboards to communicate schedule status, risks, and trends.
Perform quality assurance reviews of schedules for adherence to client standard operating procedures (SOPs) and industry scheduling best practices (i.e. PMIPMBOK).
Identify and track key performance indices to ensure schedule quality and timeliness and adherence to client SOPs and industry scheduling best practices.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to gather input, validate schedule logic, and ensure alignment across all phases of the project lifecycle.
Review and validate engineering, procurement, and construction logic. Identify and communicate potential schedule risks, delays, and float path changes early to support proactive decision-making.
Perform resource loading and utilization analysis to identify over- or under-allocation. Track quantities and progress using S-curves and other forecasting tools.
Develop conceptual schedules from limited project information and apply rolling wave planning techniques to refine schedules as project details evolve.
SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 57 years of hands-on scheduling experience in civil infrastructure construction, including roads, bridges, utilities, or transit systems.
Experience managing schedules across multiple concurrent projects or large-scale programs is highly desirable.
Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 for schedule development, analysis, and reporting.
Experience with Tableau or similar tools for data visualization and executive reporting.
Familiarity with Critical Path Method (CPM), resource loading, and earned value management.
Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
AACE International certification (e.g., PSP Planning & Scheduling Professional).
PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including contractors, engineers, and project managers.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving scheduling issues.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel to project sites in the New York metro area as needed.
