Summary/Objective:
The Senior Project Manager plans, executes, and manages internal and external teams on construction projects, with the authority to make decisions to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the company’s quality standards, ensuring client satisfaction for repeat business. Typically manages 2-5 projects simultaneously at various phases, ranging from $1-20 million.
Primary Responsibilities/Functions:
Coordinate daily project activities.
Communicate with subcontractors, team members, clients, owners, and suppliers.
Plan project deliverables and identify potential risks.
Minimize risks to the company and clients.
Create and update detailed project schedules.
Prepare Schedule of Values (SOV) and billing schedules.
Manage mockups, drafting, fabrication, and installation as required.
Lead production and installation planning meetings.
Monitor progress with drafting and engineering firms.
Prepare project packages and drawings for manufacturing and installation.
Review project budgets and track costs.
Coordinate with clients and architects on submittals and approvals.
Ensure design intent, budget, and constructability are maintained.
Visit construction sites for staging, safety, and access verification.
Manage submittal reviews, field documentation, and punch lists.
Oversee change order processes and pricing.
Conduct weekly reviews with team members.

Education and Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial construction management.
At least 3 years of experience with metal and glass stairs.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher education.
Proficient in scheduling software, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Strong work ethic and professionalism.
Effective delegation skills.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in designing or building feature staircases.
Certifications/Licenses:
OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain within six months).
CAPM or PMP certification preferred.
Position KPIs:
Maintain safety standards at all times.
Meet project schedules and milestones.
Achieve or exceed profit margins through effective buyout, forecasting, and change order management.
Ensure high-quality standards on projects with minimal punch lists.
Keep project documentation updated in Procore or equivalent systems.
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with site visits. Exposure to construction sites and weather conditions. Maintain a clean workspace, including remote work environments for virtual meetings.
Physical Demands:
Regular sitting, talking, hearing, and manual handling. Occasional lifting up to 15 pounds. Visual acuity for close and distant vision. Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
Personal Protective Equipment: Use PPE as per OSHA standards and site-specific safety protocols.
Work Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with hours based on project needs.
Other Duties: Responsibilities may evolve; flexibility required.
Travel: Occasional travel to project sites, approximately 4-7 days per month.
