Location - Phoenix, AZ (Remote + Weekly Local Travel)
The Opportunity
Join a prestigious engineering firm with a strong focus on mission-critical environments as a Senior Project Manager . This is an exceptional chance for a technical leader with a solid MEP design background to oversee complex construction projects, transitioning from design to hands-on construction management.
This remote role involves regular weekly travel to local project sites in the Phoenix area.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership (50%)
Manage all aspects of construction administration from design phase to project closeout.
Lead submittal and RFI reviews, working closely with internal design support.
Conduct site visits, track issues, and generate comprehensive field reports.
Oversee the implementation of redlines, bulletins, and ASIs effectively.
Facilitate coordination between various trades, design, and construction teams.
Represent the firm in client meetings and Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) sessions.
Engage in design reviews to enhance constructability.
Stakeholder Engagement (20%)
Act as the primary client contact throughout the construction process.
Foster and maintain robust relationships with clients.
Drive marketing initiatives and support business development efforts.
Administrative Oversight (20%)
Document meeting minutes, site visit reports, and punch lists accurately.
Oversee contract administration and maintain thorough documentation.
Assist in departmental reporting and file management.
Financial Management (10%)
Support cost tracking, forecasting, and billing processes.
Proactively identify and address risks, gaps, and budget issues.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction or engineering project management.
At least 3 years of field or onsite experience.
B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management.
Strong knowledge of MEP/FA/FP systems and construction methodologies.
Proficient in Procore and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
Familiarity with safety standards and MOP processes.
Experience in creating thorough documentation and collaborating with remote/hybrid teams.
AutoCAD/Revit skills are a plus.
