Job Description
- Oversee all on-site construction activities from pre-construction through closeout on large-scale commercial, retail, or mixed-use projects.
- Lead and manage field staff, subcontractors, and construction schedules to ensure project milestones are met or exceeded.
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations, ensuring a safe jobsite at all times.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Design Teams to proactively resolve issues and maintain alignment with design intent and budget.
- Conduct daily and weekly coordination meetings with trade partners and internal teams.
- Monitor quality control to ensure construction meets specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
- Track and report project progress, labor, materials, equipment needs, and any field changes or delays.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the jobsite and the office, ensuring clear communication and consistent documentation.
- Mentor junior superintendents, foremen, and field personnel to build team capabilities and continuity.
- Participate in preconstruction planning and develop site logistics plans, manpower forecasts, and sequencing strategies.
- Manage inspections, punch lists, and final turnover, ensuring a smooth and professional project closeout.

The Successful Applicant
- 10+ years of field supervision experience in commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, or institutional construction, with at least 3+ years in a Senior Superintendent or Lead Superintendent role.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering ground-up or major renovation projects valued at $10M+.
- Deep understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to lead large field crews and coordinate multiple trades.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and submittals.
- Proficient in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- OSHA 30 certification (required); First Aid/CPR certification a plus.
- Familiarity with union and non-union jobsite dynamics (as applicable).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred but not required.
