Job Description

The Senior Superintendent will take the lead on all field operations for large-scale, ground-up airplane hangar construction projects across multiple locations, overseeing complex builds from site mobilization through final turnover. This is a high-impact, traveling role for a seasoned field leader with deep experience in aviation or similarly technical sectors. The ideal candidate brings a commanding presence on the jobsite, with the ability to manage large crews, coordinate multiple trades, and drive schedule execution while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. Working in close partnership with project executives and senior project managers, this individual will own the day-to-day delivery of highly specialized aviation facilities-resolving challenges in real time and setting the tone for excellence across the field team. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage daily site operations, including subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and quality control
  • Enforce job site safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
  • Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the project team on schedule, budget, and milestones
  • Interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications; ensure field execution aligns with plans
  • Identify and resolve field issues in real-time with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Conduct daily site walks and progress meetings with subcontractors and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate inspections with city officials and third-party consultants
  • Maintain all on-site records, including logs, reports, and as-built documentation
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and accountability to all field personnel
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to keep projects on track and deliver exceptional results
  • Assist in forecasting project risks and proactively mitigate potential delays or cost impacts

The Successful Applicant

In return for a competitive compensation package, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 10+ years of experience supervising large-scale ground-up industrial construction projects (e.g., tilt-wall, distribution, warehouse, or cold storage facilities) - essential
  • Proven ability to lead complex job sites and deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget - essential
  • Strong field leadership, communication, and subcontractor coordination skills, with a track record of managing high-performing teams - essential
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently and work onsite at active job sites across multiple regions - essential
  • Expertise in safety protocols, site logistics, quality control, and sequencing of large-scale structural builds - preferred
  • Proficiency with construction management tools and software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project) - preferred
