Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Project Manager (onsite) to support the delivery of data center construction projects. This role is ideal for someone with 1-5 years of experience in construction administration or field support-especially within the data center environment -who is eager to grow within a high-performing project team.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, site-based setting with exposure to both technical and administrative aspects of large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Documentation
Maintain and organize project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, and daily reports.
Assist with managing construction schedules, tracking milestones, and maintaining progress logs.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
On-Site Support
Support the onsite leadership and Project Manager in overseeing daily construction activities and resolving field-level issues.
Attend site coordination meetings and document key action items and deliverables.
Perform quality control checks and assist in tracking punch list completion when required.
Administrative Functions
Assist with invoice tracking, purchase order processing, and budget reconciliation support.
Prepare and distribute reports, dashboards, and updates to stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and assist with maintaining required site permits or logs.
Qualifications
1-5 years of experience in construction administration, construction/project engineering, or field project support , preferably in data center or mission-critical environments.
Familiarity with construction terminology, workflows, and documentation practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); exposure to Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to multitask in a dynamic, team-based setting.
High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Preferred Attributes
Experience supporting large-scale, fast-track projects.
Knowledge of construction safety protocols (OSHA 10/30 a plus).
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Self-starter who is comfortable working independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
