Previous job-site experience is required, as is OSHA10 certification, and an understanding of construction methods, tools, and equipment. You’ll work with a close-knit team of other skilled laborers and tradesmen to bring construction plans to life. Compensation: $22 - $25 hourly Responsibilities: Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment such as jackhammers, survey equipment, and forklifts as required Remove debris and hazardous materials to keep the job site safe and clean to meet safety regulations and OSHA requirements Assist sub-contractors, tradesmen, and craft workers like roofers, plasterers, carpenters, painters, and electricians as needed Carry, load, and unload tools and building materials such as sheetrock, saws, lumber, tile, grout, etc. Tear down old structures, and build temporary structures such as signs, cones, barricades, ramps, and other devices to control traffic around the construction site Qualifications: Certification required: OSHA 10 Past construction experience, knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment and the ability to understand blueprints and construction plans are required Equivalent, GED, or high school diploma is required - Associate’s degree, trade certification, and/or completed apprenticeship program is highly preferred Comfortable working in inclement weather, like extreme temperatures, rain, etc. Strong depth perception, good eye-hand coordination, and mechanical skills are helpful About Company Galbraith Commercial & Industrial Construction is an award-winning design-build firm that has been serving Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic since 1990.
