About the Role Senior Project Engineer - Construction The Senior Project Engineer leads the coordination and oversight of multiple project facets, ensuring comprehensive preparation and execution in collaboration with the Project Team.
Position Logistics Primary Work Location: Headquarters | Fargo, ND
Work Environment: On-Site
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8 am - 5 pm
Work Type: Full Time (40 hours/week)
Position Responsibilities Project Coordination
Attend and document project meetings, ensuring alignment among all stakeholders.
Manage and review project documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Distribute and track project plans, drawings, and specifications.
Perform and manage submittals and RFIs throughout the project lifecycle.
Schedule, Budget, and Subcontractor Management
Review and validate project estimates and schedules.
Monitor project costs, draft change orders, and analyze cost performance.
Assist in selecting and coordinating subcontractors.
Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Project Closeout
Manage completion of punch lists and final inspections.
Oversee preparation and submission of final project documentation and warranties.
Safety
Assist Superintendents in organizing and conducting safety meetings.
Review safety reports and lead implementation of corrective actions.
Attend all required safety trainings and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
General
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work and shared spaces.
Demonstrate punctuality and regular attendance.

Technically proficient , with hands-on experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Procore, and other construction management platforms.
Proactive problem-solvers who can review and interpret project schedules, identify risks, and contribute to cost control and change management strategies.
Committed to safety and quality , actively participating in safety meetings, addressing safety concerns, and ensuring compliance with jobsite protocols.
Knowledgeable in construction practices , with a growing understanding of contractual, financial, scheduling, and risk mitigation elements of complex projects.

Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred
1+ years of relevant construction project experience
Demonstrated accuracy in documentation, reporting, and project tracking
Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple projects and deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client and team relationships
Developing knowledge of construction contracts, financials, schedules, and risk management practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
Experience with construction management tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, and similar platforms
OSHA 10 certification preferred
