Job Summary: The role involves managing complex network fiber projects and overseeing fiber maintenance within the market. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise in fiber optic network maintenance and emergency restoration. Manage complex projects, including planning, scope of work, BOM, and scheduling. Oversee daily splicing and testing of OSP facilities. Plan and implement fiber connectivity projects adhering to budgets and schedules. Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Mentor and develop less experienced project managers. Review project accuracy, profitability, and adherence to standards. Conduct quality inspections and participate in client meetings. Perform site walks, validate plans, and ensure resource availability. Prepare reports and project close-out documents. Support customers and team members 24/7 for urgent issues. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Expertise in fiber optic network maintenance and restoration. Deep understanding of communication cabling types and materials. Experience with fiber deployments, splicing, and testing equipment. Ability to interpret blueprints and network designs. Strong estimation skills for labor and materials. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of safety standards and industry best practices. Proficiency in MS Office; Visio, Bluebeam, Revit skills are a plus. Qualifications: Valid driver's license. High School diploma or equivalent. At least 4 years experience in outside plant fiber engineering. 5+ years managing fiber networks; PMP certification preferred. 7+ years managing fiber network projects.
