POSITION SUMMARY Seeking a Structural Engineer to support the firms progressive and dynamic civil and environmental engineering team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Review structural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines * Write and edit structural specifications * Select procedures and materials, and their respective sizes * Independently coordinate the work of the structural design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project * Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various agencies for code compliance * Conduct design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines * Coordinate workload through design development and construction document phases to complete the documents on schedule * Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
* 3-6+ years of post graduate professional experience * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent * Structural analysis and design skills * Solid professional structural engineering experience related to a variety of projects and industries * Experience preparing, reviewing and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules and cost estimates * Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills * Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Staad Pro etc
DESIRED ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
* PE/SE registration is highly preferred, or the intention to complete registration
