Job Summary:
This position requires a construction minded individual who is able to manage multiple tasks and projects.. You will lead a team of dedicated Forman and fence technicians, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, great leadership skills and detail oriented.
Responsibilities:
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Supervise staff and provide constructive feedback
- Coach and teach the skills of the trade
- Coordinate progress reports with General Contractor/Owner/PM on schedule and deadlines
- Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors when under our scope or working alongside
- Monitor, log and report on project progress
- Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials and other project costs
- Implement safety and quality guidelines
- Order the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance
- Keep track of materials and orders arriving at the site
- Resolve on-site issues and emergencies
- Set performance goals and deadlines
- Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly
- Manage multiple projects and crews
- Experience and proficiency in all aspects of fence and netting
- Evaluation with Foreman (60-Day and additional evaluations)
- Initiate paperwork for promotions
- Corrective action forms and progress
- CDL Class A
Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent is required
- Three years of experience in fence construction
- US work authorization is required
- Valid driver's license is required, reliable transportation, a CDL Class A
- Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Demonstrate ability to work independently while also able to work in a team setting
- Willing to work M-F with weekends, 8-12-hour shifts, and overtime when needed
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools and all power tools
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, i.e. skid loader, telescoping boom lift, etc.
- OSHA 30
