Job Title: Superintendent of Construction
Job Description
Supervise construction efforts to ensure projects are constructed safely, in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising onsite functions such as scheduling and subcontractor coordination. Ensure compliance of craft workers and subcontractors with contract requirements, efficient use of materials and equipment, adherence to the site safety plan, and timely performance of the project schedule. Provide technical assistance, including interpretation of drawings and recommending construction methods and equipment. Assist project management in developing project schedules, site logistics plans, and implementing project procedures and standards. Support the Site Specific Safety Plan and coordinate with on-site owner employees. Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor. Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with contract requirements and efficient resource use. Provide technical assistance and interpretation of drawings. Assist in developing project schedules and implementing procedures. Support and enforce the Site Specific Safety Plan. Coordinate with on-site owner employees. Perform additional assignments as directed. Essential Skills
Experience in heavy construction and heavy civil projects. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field. Minimum of 10 years of experience with large heavy civil infrastructure construction projects valued at $100 million or more. Minimum of 10 years of construction superintendent or craft supervision experience. Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade unions. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, and HCSS Heavy bid. OSHA certification and First Aid certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with city, state, and federal government clients preferred. Subcontractor management expertise. Specialization in heavy civil, bridges, and roadway projects. Work Environment
The position involves working on long-term projects, such as supporting the Midtown Port Authority Bus Terminal project or the Airtrain Project, each with a duration of 4-5 years. You will work as part of a dynamic team that includes Superintendents, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Field Engineers, and Construction Managers. The projects offer the opportunity to contribute to large, high-profile infrastructure developments that significantly impact the community. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $170000.00 - $220000.00/yr.
