Marcum LLP is seeking a Tax and Business Services Supervisor to join our growing and well established national firm in Melville, NY. This position requires an experienced Tax professional with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities
Responsible for executing Tax field work with limited Partner or Manager oversight.
Essential Functions, Skills
Execute assignments in the areas of payroll tax returns, sales tax returns, and intermediate corporate, partnership and individual tax returns.
Keep current on recent technical pronouncements in both Tax and Accounting
Participates in professional development opportunities
Put forth diligent effort to pass CPA Exam
Begin to recognizes extended service opportunities

Strong time management, analytical and research skills
Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy
Education, Knowledge
BA/BS/MS in Accounting
Eligible to sit for the CPA Exam
5-7 years of relevant experience
Basic knowledge of accounting and tax principles, and ability to solve routine engagement issues
Ability to prepare basic footnotes
Familiarity with clients in the construction industry
Local travel within the tri state area.
