Traveling Superintendent For Multifamily Construction

Job Description

• Supervises day-to-day work of crew and prioritize work at hand.
• Attend post-aware review meeting to receive project information & details for preplanning before construction
• Direct/control total construction project to meet specifications and within the allotted time schedule in an efficient manner to produce the expected profit
• Work with subcontractors, suppliers, utilities, city inspectors, organize and direct activities concerned with their construction projects.
• Effectively follow plans/guidelines while conducting regular safety meetings.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures and safety requirements, including crew member discipline and documentation.
• Cooperate with the owner and his representatives, keeping them informed of construction progress
• Review and approve all requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices, and other significant reports and documents
• Monitor and control project through managing the construction schedule and directing subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Manage close out process and warranty responses with project manager
• Attend and participate in weekly meetings, including project and subcontractor meetings
• Make decisions under tight deadlines

The Successful Applicant

• 5+ years experience as a Lead or Senior Superintendent
• 5-20 years of construction experience
• Experience with light industrial projects is a plus
• Able to live anywhere
• Proven ability to deliver construction projects on time and on budget
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers
• Must be open to travel
