Job Description

  • Oversee daily on-site construction activities to ensure schedule, quality, and safety standards are met.
  • Lead and coordinate all field personnel and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and performance.
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, identifying potential delays and coordinating solutions.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety policies and OSHA regulations; promote a culture of safety on site.
  • Monitor work progress and quality control, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and building codes.
  • Manage site logistics, including deliveries, equipment use, and workforce planning.
  • Conduct regular inspections and supervise testing and commissioning of systems and installations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to resolve field issues and maintain alignment with project goals.
  • Participate in and lead progress meetings, both internally and with clients and subcontractors.
  • Document site activities, incidents, and progress through daily reports and logs.
  • Mentor and support assistant superintendents and field engineers, helping develop their skills and leadership.

The Successful Applicant

  • 15+ years of building construction experience
  • Proven experience in managing data center, healthcare, pharma, or light industrial construction projects from start to finish
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct on-site teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with clients and subcontractors
  • In-depth knowledge of construction safety standards, processes, and best practices
  • Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and budgets effectively
  • Problem-solving abilities to resolve challenges efficiently and keep projects on track
  • A solid track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards
  • Experience managing subcontractors and ensuring contract compliance
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite programs
