Traveling Superintendent Union Multifamily Construction

My client is a general contractor focused on renovation projects in the multifamily and senior housing (affordable housing) sectors based out of the Greater St. Louis area. My client has been around for 30+ years and specializes in planning, design, and construction management. They have access to over 100 markets due to their strong presence nationally. Their projects range between $8M and $60M and they are looking to expand their project management team.

Job Description

Supervises day-to-day work of crew and prioritize work at hand.

Attend post-aware review meeting to receive project information & details for preplanning before construction

Direct/control total construction project to meet specifications and within the allotted time schedule in an efficient manner to produce the expected profit

Work with subcontractors, suppliers, utilities, city inspectors, organize and direct activities concerned with their construction projects.

Effectively follow plans/guidelines while conducting regular safety meetings.

Complies with all company policies and procedures and safety requirements, including crew member discipline and documentation.

Cooperate with the owner and his representatives, keeping them informed of construction progress

Review and approve all requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices, and other significant reports and documents

Monitor and control project through managing the construction schedule and directing subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.

Manage close out process and warranty responses with project manager

Attend and participate in weekly meetings, including project and subcontractor meetings

Make decisions under tight deadlines

The Successful Applicant

Multifamily experience is required

5+ years experience as a Lead or Senior Superintendent

5-20 years of construction experience

Able to live anywhere

Proven ability to deliver construction projects on time and on budget

Communicate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers

Must be open to travel
