Job Summary: Under broad supervision, responsible for underwriting risk through the entire underwriting lifecycle for both renewal and new business within limited authority. Collaborates with underwriters to provide necessary information for prudent underwriting decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs underwriting analysis and documentation for risk acceptability within assigned authority.
Handles endorsement requests within delegated authority; refers outside authority requests to underwriters.
Manages assigned renewal book, triages applications, and formulates next steps.
Acts as liaison within the branch and across CNA to resolve issues.
Documents files ensuring completeness and compliance.
Executes advanced pricing strategies and documents rationale.
Completes quote proposals and negotiates within authority.
Serves as first-line contact to producers/customers, identifying upsell opportunities.
Assists in marketing products/services and conducts field visits.
Serves as a resource on systems and workflows, providing training and feedback.
Stays current on business strategies, regulations, and trends.
Reporting Relationship: Supervisor or Manager
Skills & Qualifications:
Knowledge of Property and Casualty underwriting.
Strong time management and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently on multiple tasks.
Capability to advise and coach others.
Customer service experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of three years related work experience.
Salary range: $47,000 to $78,000 annually, based on experience and location.
