SUMMARY: The Vice President of Construction Services is responsible for the overall management and direction of projects on the At-Risk side of CSM Groups operations and works closely with Safety, Marketing and Sales, People Operations and Finance departments as well as serving the execution teams to acquire new business, retain current clients and support the company’s overall business strategies. You are responsible for end-to-end on-time and accurate delivery of assigned At-Risk projects, and provide guidance for project teams through troubleshooting, client relations, recommended design improvements, construction techniques, and schedules, while ensuring economical solutions. You provide training, mentorship, advice on customer initiatives, market analysis, and best practice sharing amongst project teams for growth opportunities. This is a full-time FLSA non-exempt position. The position requires 40 work hours per week with the ability to work more if necessary. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Execution and Operations Team Leadership (30%) Provides professional guidance and mentoring to project team members including conducting performance reviews and 1:1 regular touch base connections with direct supports. Collaborates with execution project teams and Directors; serves as an advocate for the team as needed.
Business Development (10%) Meets with potential and existing clients, architects, etc., to explain CSM’s services and approach. Participates in proposal development and interviews for potential work.
Project Pre-Construction Phase (25%) Manages or develops: Construction schedules Work scopes General Conditions budgets Bid Strategies Bidders lists, project manuals and other project documentation.
Department Oversight (10%) Provides direction to project teams and directors, and collaborates with BOHO department leads (People Operations, Safety, Preconstruction, IT, Marketing and Sales and Finance) on departmental strategy, goals and initiatives. Reviews, tracks, manages and approves project budgets.
Project Construction Phase (20%) Participates in on-site Progress Meetings. Continuously monitors Budget and Schedule and provides updates and direction. Provides Quality Assurance for construction means and methods as well as safety.
Project Post-Construction Phase (5%) Manages project close-out process. Maintains relationships with all stakeholders for future projects.

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.   For Field positions, while performing this job, the employee must frequently inspect the project site and may be exposed to ongoing construction activities, vibrations, noise, and various outside weather conditions (in all seasons). Work environment involves moderate risks which may require safety precautions. The noise level in the work environment may range from quiet to loud.  The proper use of Personnel Protective Equipment (including but not limited to safety boots, hardhat, and protective eyewear) is required on the jobsite.
