About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for Heavy Civil Construction to join its executive leadership team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in defining and implementing the company's strategic vision, ensuring operational excellence, and driving growth. This key leadership role involves providing executive oversight across all divisions, with a specific focus on heavy civil construction operations. The Vice President will be responsible for project execution, financial performance, and client relations, as well as leading strategic planning and process improvements. Mentoring senior project managers and department leaders, and representing the company in high-level interactions, are also integral to the position.
Applicants for the Vice President role at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years' in a senior leadership or executive capacity. A strong background in heavy civil, site development, or large-scale infrastructure projects is essential, as is a proven track record in managing financial aspects and P&L. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, team development, and communication skills, and have a deep understanding of the industry, particularly in the Ohio market. Familiarity with ODOT requirements, bridge construction, and wastewater treatment plant projects, as well as experience in public and municipal bidding, compliance, and coordination, is highly valued.
