Job Description The role of the Vice President and General Manager is to manage, own, and grow the company within a larger organization, with significant support to aid in your business success. You are responsible for sales and operations, ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves high visibility with clients and internal teams, requiring coordination across service support areas such as Warehouse, Accounting, Purchasing, Safety, Human Resources, Marketing, and Customer Service. The Vice President and General Manager reports directly to the COO/EVP, overseeing sales, estimating, and operations teams. Key Responsibilities include: Providing strong leadership and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment. Managing the Sales and Operations Department for seamless service delivery. Collaborating with project and estimating teams, reviewing bids, and participating in sales and operations meetings. Preparing projects to ensure success and prevent issues during execution. Utilizing technology to improve efficiency and process accuracy. Evaluating and improving internal processes to enhance margins and revenue. Overseeing project estimates, change orders, and contract administration. Maintaining full lifecycle customer relationships and proactively resolving concerns. Mentoring staff and promoting a culture of learning and collaboration. Ensuring safety compliance and balancing office and field responsibilities. Qualifications include: Leadership skills, confidentiality, and a positive attitude. Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills. Strong understanding of roofing and sheet metal industry operations. Ability to interpret architectural drawings and use industry software. Bachelor's Degree in business, construction management, or equivalent experience. Experience working with unions is highly preferred.
