About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Project Procurement to lead the EPC and BoP spend for its clean energy projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing procurement category and contract strategies, serving as the key interface between internal stakeholders, and driving value-creating procurement solutions. This role involves overseeing the implementation of tendering, evaluation, and contracting strategies for new build projects, as well as maintaining relationships with major equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors in the renewable energy industry. The Vice President will also be tasked with ensuring compliance with policies and processes, providing market analysis, and setting the foundation for a sustainable supply chain during project execution.
Applicants must have a relevant college degree, with a preference for engineering, supply chain, construction, or business management, and at least 18 years of experience in a similar role, including significant people management experience. The role requires expertise in negotiating and contracting EPC and BoP contracts, as well as a proven track record in meeting performance and organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in utility-scale renewable energy project procurement, be adept at managing a complex regulatory environment, and possess strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. A team player with a strong commercial acumen, the candidate should be able to work independently in a fast-changing environment and be willing to travel as needed. Proficiency in English is essential, with Spanish and German language skills being a benefit.
