This individual will be responsible for oversight and guidance related to Change Management across the MasTec CE&I Group. The VP is responsible for implementing and continuously improving all change management processes within construction management, including systems and tools within the Group and shall act as a key resource to the Service Lines and Group leadership. Additionally, this role will support project controls, expert cost analysis, project scheduling and claims on large-scale, commercial construction projects.
Location & Travel: This role can be remote in the United States with approximately 25% travel necessary. Preference to be near an existing MasTec office with preferred locations of Houston, TX, Indianapolis, IN, Fargo, ND, Phoenix, AZ, and Miami, FL.

Responsibilities Establish relationships with the various Service Line Project Controls and Operational Leadership
Oversee and monitor project performance, progress, and forecasts, validating and reporting on cost and schedule performance against the baseline estimate and schedule
Assess the impact(s) of project changes and assist project teams in developing claims, change orders, and recovery plans
Identify trends and deviations and communicate root causes of variances and recommended corrective courses of action to project management based on relevant analyses
Assist with review and development, issuance, and evaluation of subcontract change orders as required
Interface with project stakeholders as a trusted advisor to provide guidance and recommendations for change management on projects
Inspire trust and ethical behavior by creating an atmosphere of integrity with fair and respectful behavior
Promote the sharing of information with team members and at all management levels
Participate and assist in attracting, recruiting, developing, and retaining top caliber talent for the Company
Promote a culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the organization
Evaluate organizational process and procedures to identify and develop efficiencies within the group
Develop standard operating procedures, deliverables and KPI’s for the group
Develop or refine project systems, challenging obsolete practices, questioning accepted truths, and eliminating non-value-added processes all for the purpose of enhancing project and Company performance
Participate in project reviews and evaluate project deliverables for the early identification of issues
Engage with project teams as needed to perform forensic analysis on cost and schedule to validate both, identify any issues and help develop corrective measures and recovery plans
Work with project teams, external consultants, and finance to develop change orders and claims
Develop and maintain tracking tools for UCO’s (Unapproved Change Orders). Coordinate teams and actions to ensure quick resolution of UCO’s
Support the operational implementation of new software
Participate in the acquisition integration of newly acquired companies
Qualifications Education and Work Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or related major
Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management and/or project controls in progressing roles of management responsibility in construction, particularly linear infrastructure or renewables construction
Experience performing forensic analysis on both cost and schedule
Experience with fixed-price contracts versus cost-reimbursable
Experience in the development and negotiation of changes orders and claims in excess of $50M
Experience with owner, designer, subcontractor and insurance disputes
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role and by working toward Zero Injury principles
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
Proficient in Primavera P6
Construction industry experience in linear infrastructure construction
Proven ability to lead others
Excellent communicator
Well-organized
Strong contractual and commercial acumen
Working Environment:
