Summary

This position manages the Construction Management Unit in the King County Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD). The Unit is part of the Project Planning & Delivery Section. The Construction Management Unit Manager is responsible and accountable for directing and supervising the construction management and inspection of all Wastewater Treatment Division's public works contracts. This position manages three satellite construction management offices, each directed by a subordinate satellite office supervisor.

About the Role:
This position will manage a group of about 50 construction management staff who perform design constructability review, construction inspection, contract administration, contract change negotiation, claims administration, litigation support and office administration. This position will collaborate across all capital delivery units, including program/project prioritization, governance, procurement delivery methodologies, and change management of capital construction contacts. The group is directly supported by matrixed Project Control staff who perform contractor schedule analysis, payment administration, contract management support, and change administration.
