About Our Client

Job Description

Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work
Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to understand scope and requirements
Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers during the preconstruction phase
Assist in developing value engineering options and cost-saving strategies
Participate in bid reviews, hand-offs, and post-bid negotiations
Maintain and update cost databases, historical pricing, and estimating tools

The Successful Applicant

3+ years of experience as an estimator in commercial construction
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, and industry standards
Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, ProEst, Sage Estimating, or similar)
Strong analytical and math skills with attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (but not required)
