Construction Project Engineer This role supports a $175 million wastewater treatment facility renovation, requiring meticulous document control and project coordination. You will play a central role in managing technical documents, RFIs, submittals, and change orders for a multi-year infrastructure project.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing document management systems, including daily download, logging, and filing from Bluebeam Studio.
Enabling change notifications in Bluebeam; maintaining updated document logs and weekly summaries for review meetings.
Coordinating and supporting weekly Monday document review meetings, preparing lists, tracking impacts, and recording decisions.
Organizing RFI folders: maintaining RFIs, tracking and assigning numbers, and managing backing documentation.
Managing submittals: updating logs, coordinating vendor communication, and ensuring timely submissions.
Maintaining as-built and record drawings using Bluebeam or field inputs.
Receiving, filing, and uploading test and commissioning reports into designated portals.
Tracking and clarifying outage requests and work plan routing, ensuring appropriate logging and distribution.
Collaborating with field team and leadership to draft, submit, and log RFIs.
Converting subcontractor RFIs to internal RFIs with complete documentation.
Communicating and coordinating with vendors and general contractors regarding technical and logistical document flow.
Assisting in pricing, budgeting, and submitting change orders.
Working with vendors and subcontractors to align on revised scope details.
Helping prepare and submit monthly progress billings for the project.
Collecting and forwarding timesheets from field staff, assisting leadership with review and approvals.
Supporting apprenticeship and workforce reporting in collaboration with internal teams.
Essential Skills:
Proven experience in document control for construction or electrical contracting projects.
Proficient in Bluebeam Studio and familiar with construction workflows.
Strong organization and follow-through; able to manage tight documentation timelines.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and contractors.
Technical knowledge and project familiarity are essential.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
Minimum 1 year of experience working for an electrical contractor on commercial or industrial construction projects.
Experience with document control, RFIs, submittals, and change order processes.
Familiarity with commissioning, test reports, and as-built documentation is a plus.
Proficiency with Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and document management systems.
Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation workflows.
Experience with online commissioning platforms (e.g., Facility Grid) is desirable.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $38.50 - $50.41/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
