Job Description:
We are seeking a Construction Project Engineer for our Dublin, OH office. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil construction project design and demonstrate strong professional engineering skills. This position involves performing construction management objectives and achieving continuity of purpose within scope, budget, and time schedules from initial start-up through final design. Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities:
Ensure completeness and accuracy of design efforts. Provide direction to assigned project staff, including engineers, drafters, designers, field staff, and administrative support. Offer technical expertise in determining design, establishing courses of action, and reviewing results for accuracy and thoroughness to meet client needs. Ensure compliance with regulatory and permitting requirements. Prepare various documents, including project reports, proposals, estimates, bid documents, and permit applications. Develop project understanding and approach for proposals. Keep projects on schedule and within budget, communicating potential budget, scope, or schedule demands to the Project Manager. Develop and implement strategies to identify and obtain repeat work from core, developing, and private clients while enhancing business development and selling skills. Serve as client relationship manager for a limited number of clients. May be designated as an Assistant Project Manager. Qualifications: BS in Civil Engineering required. 2+ years of civil engineering experience. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions Proficiency with computer-based design tools (AutoCAD, GIS, REVIT). Full understanding of permitting and funding agency requirements. Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Strong time management skills. Self-motivated with a strong desire to advance.
